Format
The Amazing Urban Race is a 2 1/2 hour long “race” in which teams attempt to rack up the highest points total by completing challenges around Wellington City. Challenges vary in difficulty and point value.
A live feed for the 2017 Amazing Urban Race will be created using Goosechase, a smartphone app. Competing teams connect to our Goosechase feed and complete missions of your choice from the mission list. To complete a challenge, a team must upload a photo which shows proof of the challenge being completed successfully.
The app shows your real-time points accumulate as you upload your completed challenges and climb your way to the top of the leaderboard.
After completing as many challenges as possible within the time limit, teams will meet at The Green Man Pub, where the results will be presented and prize giving will take place.
Team Composition
Open teams of 4-5.
Max number of teams is 16.
Team composition rules must be complied with. Only organisational/company members and their immediate families and de facto partners are allowed to enter. Strictly no “ring-ins” otherwise your team will be disqualified.
Equipment
Teams should have a vehicle and at least one smart phone with access to the Goosechase app.
